Paid plans and credit packs are not open yet. Free works today. This page shows how they will work.
Billing and plans
This page explains how plans are billed, renewed and canceled. Prices and what each plan includes are on Plans.
Plans
Terminal has a free plan, Free, and paid plans: Trader, Pro and Community. Trader and Pro are billed monthly or yearly. Community is monthly only.
Prices are in US dollars. The pay button shows the amount charged. Checkout is handled by Stripe, and Terminal does not store your card number.
Trials
Paid plans are not open yet, so no trial can start. Free needs no card.
Renewals and reminders
A paid plan renews for the same period, at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. Before you pay, checkout shows the renewal terms next to the pay button. We keep a record of the terms you agreed to.
When a plan starts, we email the plan, the price, the next charge date, and any trial dates. A monthly plan gets one reminder email each year, before its anniversary. A yearly plan gets a notice before it renews.
If a price changes, we email the current price, the new price, and the date it first applies. Each of these emails has a link that opens the cancel step in Billing.
Payment problems
If a renewal charge fails, your plan stays on for 7 days while the card is retried. Billing shows the date to update the card by. Your rules stay saved.
To fix it, open Billing and choose Update card. If the card is not updated in time, the account moves to the Free limits. Rules over that limit pause. They are not deleted.
Change or cancel
Open Settings, then Plan and billing. That screen is Billing.
Change plan switches the plan or the billing period. Update card changes the card.
To cancel:
- Choose Cancel plan.
- Choose Cancel at period end.
You keep the plan through the date you already paid. Then alerts follow the Free limits. Rules over that limit pause. They are not deleted. If you move to a larger plan again, they start again by themselves, oldest first, as far as the plan has room.
Refunds
We do not refund unused days on a monthly or yearly plan, except where the law says we must. If a charge looks wrong, contact support.
Invoices stay in Billing. View invoice opens one. A payment receipt email is the record of a charge.
Credits
Credits, when they are offered, are optional packs for extra why-notes and API calls. Alerts in your plan do not spend credits. A credit pack is a single charge. It does not renew.
Pack sizes and what credits pay for are on the Credits page.
