Copyright policy
Version: 2026-10-23 draft
Updated 23 October 2026.
Effective: [Effective date: set when published]
Virtus Blockchain Labs LLC ("we", "us") runs Terminal. We respect copyright, and we expect people who use Terminal to do the same. This policy follows the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. section 512). It is part of the Terms of Service.
Summary. If you think something on Terminal copies your work without permission, send a notice to the agent below. If we removed something of yours and you think that was a mistake, send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of people who infringe again and again.
What this covers
Most of what Terminal shows is written by Terminal: alerts, notes, receipts, and records computed from market data. People also write text on Terminal: rule names, instructions, marketplace listings, profiles, and handles. A shared alert page can show that text in public. This policy covers all of it.
Our designated agent
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
- Name: [DMCA agent: register with the US Copyright Office]
- Company: Virtus Blockchain Labs LLC
- Street address: 1735 62nd Street, Apt 2R, Brooklyn, NY 11204
- Email: contact@tokensmarketcap.com
Write "Copyright notice" in the subject line. This address is for copyright notices only. Other messages sent here may not get an answer.
How to send a notice
Your notice must be in writing and must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person allowed to act for the copyright owner
- The work you say was copied. If there are several, a list of them
- The material you say infringes, and enough detail for us to find it, such as the page address
- Your name, postal address, phone number, and email address
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are allowed to act for the owner
A notice that leaves out one of these may not be valid. We may write to you to ask for the missing part.
What we do with a notice
When we receive a valid notice, we remove the material or block access to it, without delay. We tell the person who posted it, and we send them a copy of the notice with your contact details. We may also send a copy to a public database of takedown notices with your personal contact details removed.
How to send a counter-notice
If we removed material you posted and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- The material that was removed, and where it was before we removed it
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that the material was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified
- Your name, address, and phone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is, or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice, or that person's agent
When we receive a valid counter-notice, we send a copy to the person who sent the notice. We put the material back between 10 and 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice, unless that person tells us first that they have filed a court action to stop the use.
False notices
Do not send a notice or a counter-notice that you know is false. A person who knowingly makes a material false statement in either one can be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees (17 U.S.C. section 512(f)). If you are not sure whether something infringes, ask a lawyer first.
People who infringe again and again
We close the account of a person who infringes copyright repeatedly, in appropriate circumstances. We may also remove a marketplace listing, a profile, or a shared alert page after one valid notice.
Other complaints
A complaint that is not about copyright, such as a trademark, a privacy concern, or a false statement, goes to contact@tokensmarketcap.com. A security problem goes through the Security page.
