What is an unusual move?

An unusual-move alert uses that coin's own recent volatility. The builder shows the percent that means today, as "Usual range today." The percent changes when the coin's recent movement changes.

You do not type the percent for this rule. If you want a fixed percent, create a Percent move alert instead.

If the coin does not have enough stored history, the alert stays on and waits. Today says it is waiting on price history. We do not guess a percent to fill the gap.

You set this on New alert. An unusual move describes the size of the move. It is not a recommendation.
