Terminal vs Cryptocurrency Alerting
This page compares Cryptocurrency Alerting (cryptocurrencyalerting.com) with Terminal. Competitor facts were checked on October 11, 2026. The Terminal column was checked against the product on October 12, 2026. A cell marked Coming waits for a later release.
Cryptocurrency Alerting, LLC still uses that name. The pricing page footer on the checked date says © 2026. The site says it offers no financial or legal advice.
Information only. Not investment advice, and not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold. Past alerts record what the price did. They do not predict what it will do.
Who it fits
Cryptocurrency Alerting fits a person who wants a fill-in sentence for a price, a percent, a volume multiple, or a funding rate, and who wants that message on Telegram, Discord, Slack, email, a phone push, a browser, a webhook, or a phone call. The paid line starts at $3.99 a month when billed yearly, for 20 active alerts. The free Hobby plan is 3 alerts and 10 notifications.
The Terminal launch offer fits a person who wants a short list of coin conditions, a two-line note, a stored price after the alert, and quiet hours on the account. It does not offer a phone call, Slack, or a text message. It does not watch wallets, gas, or the Bitcoin mempool in the launch offer.
A person who needs a webhook on the free plan, or a funding-rate threshold today, is closer to Cryptocurrency Alerting's current product. Funding on Terminal is Coming. Signed webhooks are Coming on Pro.
Feature table
- Conditions. Cryptocurrency Alerting: The public forms include a price above or below on an exchange, a percent move, volume, a periodic price, and a funding rate above or below a percent. Funding covers Binance Futures, Bybit, OKX, and Kraken. The pricing table also lists stock alerts, exchange listings, wallet and balance alerts, ETH gas, Bitcoin mempool, Bitcoin dominance, market cap, and other blockchain metrics. Large-transfer alerts, labeled Whale Alerts and marked beta, are checked on Pro only. The percent FAQ says the move is the larger of the high-to-low and low-to-high change inside the window.. Terminal launch offer: Price above, price below, percent move, volume spike, and unusual move. A sentence is restated as a rule, and saving uses the fields. Unusual move shows the percent for that coin today. Coming: funding rate and open interest, after that feed is on. Wallet, gas, mempool, listing, and dominance alerts are not in the launch offer.
- Delivery. Cryptocurrency Alerting: The funding form and the account settings list email, SMS, push, phone call, browser, webhook, Slack, Telegram, Discord, and a legacy Pushover path. The pricing table checks email, push, and browser on Hobby, Trader, and Pro. It also checks Slack, Telegram, and Discord, and it checks webhook, on all three of those plans. One create-form picks one channel for that alert. Each channel has a test message. US and Canadian SMS is blocked. See the price section.. Terminal launch offer: Telegram, a phone alert (a browser notification), and email. Telegram and phone alerts are aimed to leave sooner than email. That timing is a target. Coming: Discord. Coming on Pro: signed webhooks, and a post to your own channel. Text messages and phone calls are not a Terminal destination.
- Explanations. Cryptocurrency Alerting: The notification is the sentence you built, plus a note you typed. The funding page describes funding in its own words. Terminal does not repeat that description. A generated note about why a spot price moved was not found on the pages opened.. Terminal launch offer: A why-note of about two lines. A model writes the sentences. Code fills every number from stored facts: the price path, volume against a 20-day baseline, and the broader market move. Free includes 10 why-notes a month. Trader and Pro include a note on each alert unless notes are paused. The alert still sends with the price if the note is missing.
- Outcome record. Cryptocurrency Alerting: My Alerts has an alert history. Logged out, the page says there is no history to show until you sign in. It does not list the columns. Usage lines track alerts, SMS, and calls against the plan cap. A later price, and a median move after the alert, were not found.. Terminal launch offer: The price at the fire, then 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours, and 7 days later. Free keeps receipts 7 days. Trader and Pro keep them 1 year. The receipt is a price record, not a rating. Coming: the rule's fire count and the median price change after 24 hours. Coming: a public Scoreboard of the aggregate, with no account names.
- Noise controls. Cryptocurrency Alerting: Cooldown choices on the funding form: 5 minutes, 10, 15, 30, 1 hour, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12, 24 hours, and 7 days. The FAQ says a 1-hour cooldown means at most one notification an hour for that alert. The API minimum cooldown is 5 minutes. You can disable an alert after it triggers once. You can enable all, disable all, or delete. Their pricing FAQ says they are typically able to collect market data and alert on it within 15 to 25 seconds, and that this varies by exchange and API. That is their statement, not a Terminal measurement. Quiet hours were not found.. Terminal launch offer: Daily limit default 8 (you can set 1 to 30). Cooldown default 1 hour on price, percent, and volume, and 4 hours on unusual move. Quiet hours off by default, preset 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM in your time zone. Morning brief at 8:00 AM. Digests on Trader and Pro, off until you turn them on. Snooze 1 hour and Mute. A fire during quiet hours is still written to Today. A 30-day preview marks would-have-fired times before you save.
- Price. Cryptocurrency Alerting: Hobby $0: 3 active alerts, 10 notifications. The signup form on the pricing page asks for email, password, and a terms checkbox. It does not show a card field. Trader $3.99 a month billed yearly ($47.88 a year) or $7.99 billed monthly, 20 active alerts. Pro $19.99 a month billed yearly ($239.88 a year) or $39.99 billed monthly, 120 active alerts. Business $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year) or $99 billed monthly, 300 active alerts. Annual is labeled Save 50%. See the table.. Terminal launch offer: Free $0, 3 alerts, 10 coins, checks about every 5 minutes, no card, 10 why-notes a month, 7-day receipts. Trader $15 a month or $144 a year, 50 alerts, 100 coins, checks about every minute, 1-year receipts, 14-day trial. Pro $29 a month or $288 a year, 200 alerts, checks about every minute at launch. Coming on Pro: about every 15 seconds, backtests, signed webhooks, channel posts. Paid checkout stays off until the seller name and address are on the pricing page.
Cryptocurrency Alerting prices on the pricing page
- Plan: Hobby. Billed yearly: $0. Billed monthly: $0. Active alerts: 3. Notifications: 10. Notes from the same page: Email, push, and browser are checked. Slack, Telegram, Discord, and webhook are checked. SMS is not checked.
- Plan: Trader. Billed yearly: $3.99 a month ($47.88 a year). Billed monthly: $7.99. Active alerts: 20. Notifications: Unlimited, except SMS and phone. Notes from the same page: The card says premium features. Whale Alerts are not checked on Trader. The SMS tooltip says 50 a week in the US and Canada.
- Plan: Pro. Billed yearly: $19.99 a month ($239.88 a year). Billed monthly: $39.99. Active alerts: 120. Notifications: Unlimited, except SMS and phone. Notes from the same page: Whale Alerts are checked. Branding can be removed. US and Canada SMS and phone tooltip: 150 a week. International SMS and phone are checked on Pro only.
- Plan: Business. Billed yearly: $49 a month ($588 a year). Billed monthly: $99. Active alerts: 300. Notifications: The card says it includes Pro. Notes from the same page: The card also says webhook, no minimum threshold for volatility scanners, and no rate limit. It does not define the rate.
Crypto checkout on the page is for a yearly membership, through Coinbase Commerce or a direct wallet transfer. The charge lines say you may cancel at any time. A refund policy beyond that sentence was not copied from a terms page for this page.
Two of their pages disagree about US and Canadian text messages. The pricing table still lists weekly SMS and phone caps for the US and Canada, and the Trader card text says "Receive up to 50 SMS and 50 Phone Calls per week in the US & Canada." The guide SMS alerts blocked in US and Canada says Twilio blocked SMS to US and Canadian numbers in August 2024 because carriers blocked cryptocurrency business texts, and that phone calls are unaffected. The settings panel on the same site repeats that US and Canadian SMS is blocked and that phone calls are not affected. This page treats US and Canadian SMS as unavailable, because that is what their own warning says, even though the price card still lists a cap.
Their pricing FAQ says paid plans do not limit notifications except for SMS and phone calls. Hobby's 10 notifications are the free cap. The page does not say whether those 10 reset.
Where Cryptocurrency Alerting goes further
- The paid entry is lower. Trader is $3.99 a month on the annual price for 20 alerts. Terminal Trader is $15 a month for 50 alerts, a why-note, and a one-year receipt. Those are different bundles. The dollar gap is real.
- More condition types are on the public site today: funding rate, listings, wallets, gas, mempool, dominance, market cap, stocks, and a beta large-transfer alert on Pro. Terminal's launch list is price, percent, volume spike, and unusual move. Funding is Coming.
- Webhooks are checked on Hobby. Terminal signed webhooks are Coming on Pro.
- Slack, a browser notification while the tab is closed, and an automated phone call are in their channel list. Terminal's launch list is Telegram, a phone alert, and email.
- The cooldown can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as 7 days, and an alert can turn itself off after one fire.
- Each channel has a test message and a status (not configured, pending, verified, or unsupported).
- Their pricing FAQ states a typical collect-and-alert time of 15 to 25 seconds. Terminal's launch copy states a check about every 5 minutes on Free and about every minute on Trader. This page does not turn those two sentences into a speed ranking. Both are the vendor's own wording, and Terminal's line is a target.
- Pro removes branding on Telegram, Discord, and Slack. A removable Terminal credit line is not part of the launch offer.
Where the Terminal launch offer is different
- The why-note is generated around numbers the product stored. Cryptocurrency Alerting's message is the sentence you filled in, plus a note you typed.
- The receipt keeps the price 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours, and 7 days later. Their history page confirms a history list. It does not describe those later prices. Coming: the median change after 24 hours on the rule.
- Before you save, the last 30 days mark when the rule would have fired.
- Quiet hours, a daily message cap, a morning brief, and a digest are in the launch offer. Quiet hours were not on the Cryptocurrency Alerting pages opened here. Their cooldown is a strong control, and it is a different control from quiet hours.
- Unusual move publishes the percent that matches that coin's recent movement. A fixed percent remains a separate rule.
- The launch offer does not sell a US text message. Their warning says US and Canadian SMS is blocked, and their price card still prints a weekly SMS cap. Terminal leaves text messages out of the plan.
- The note and the receipt do not tell you to buy, sell, or hold. Their site says the same about its own service: no financial advice.
Checks on Terminal run about every 5 minutes on Free and about every minute on Trader and, at launch, on Pro. The 15-second check is Coming on Pro.

Unverified
- The columns inside Alert History. The logged-out page says history exists and does not list fields. A later price was not found.
- Whether Hobby's 10 notifications reset, and on what clock.
- Whether one account can attach two destinations of the same kind. The settings panel shows one setup slot per method. A second slot was not found. This page does not claim a written one-destination rule beyond that panel.
- The exact percent windows on the percent form (the shortest and the default). The FAQ explains the calculation. The API allows a window of at least 1 minute. The form's labeled stops were not copied.
- Volume multipliers and the any-coin scanner floor. Those guides were not opened for this page, so they are not quoted.
- A refund sentence from the terms page. The checkout lines say you may cancel at any time. The terms page was not opened.
- Their statement that market data is alerted within 15 to 25 seconds. It is quoted as their FAQ. It was not measured from outside.
